Sunday Writing Intensive Hosted by the Warren Wilson College Undergraduate Writing Program 10 am to 3 pm With the understanding that effective communication will be required to inspire an engaged citizenry, we invite fifty participants to the Sunday Writing Intensive with the goal of exploring new ways to express the challenges of our times. As Janisse Ray says, “Only by telling the stories of the changing earth — and imagining new ones — can we create a future in which we honor the earth.” In workshops facilitated by Andy Revkin and Janisse Ray, participants will write in response to prompts, brainstorm metaphors for conveying the crisis, and explore new potentials in both print and online platforms. Writers of all genres — blogs, novels, poems, articles, creative nonfiction, and more — are necessary and welcome. *Attendance is limited to 50 participants. You must register for the entire conference to attend the Writing Intensive.
